Mimetic Analysis of The Lady and Her Five Suitors

"The Lady and her 5 Suitors" is one of the Arabian literary pieces which depicts a real state of this world - full of oppressed andoppressors; played and players - as viewed in memetic approach.

Herein the story, the beginning presents the main character, her status and marriage in life. Since her husband is a traveler and is been absent for so long, she pursues her love affair with a young handsome merchant. The woman is clearly an ennui. Charging from that and her love for her life, when the young merchant is being held up for prison, all she has and could do are put to risk and yes, fun in such unconsiderable manner just to take him back as if he's a trophy. But as a woman of men, she has her feminity over the nasty eyes of highly men in the city. She plans everything; she got in touch with a carpenter to build a human-size cabinet to be able to fit 5 persons and she easily lured the Kali, Wali, Vezier, and the King since they all desire her. She gets the Wali to write a release note for her lover and gets to put them into the freshly made cabinet because they each time fear the next one to be the lady's husband. The carpenter as well is locked up due to his dispute with the lady over the size of cabinet. The 5 suitors are all left there for days 'til they are found in fancy clothes and urines by the neighbors. Meanwhile, the prisoner makes it out and runs away with his knight in shining lingerie to another city.

This piece is all about trickery for wants and love. Furthermore, it denotes that in life nothing is fair. Everyone just needs and gets to play with that reality so very well to adhere from giving up.
